Carey R. Butler, PE Robotics Program Manager, West Virginia High Technology Consortium Foundation and Innovative Response Technologies, Inc., Synacor

Carey is the Robotics Program Manager for the West Virginia High Technology Consortium Foundation and Innovative Response Technologies, Inc.  As the Program Manager he oversees robotic research and development, and commercialization of the BomBot product line.  IRT recently released an affordable robotic product designed for law enforcement and first responder applications.  Carey has worked in the high technology research and development and product commercialization fields for more than fifteen years.

He has a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering Physics from the U.S. Naval Academy and a Master’s degree in Engineering from West Virginia University.   Carey recently retired from the U.S. Naval Reserves where he served at several Naval Shipyards, the Naval Sea Systems Command and the Office of Naval Research.  During his twelve years on active duty in the Navy he was a nuclear submarine officer and served on the Joint Staff in the Pentagon.
