Charlie Nobles North American Account Manager – Intelligent Lighting, Tyco Electronics Energy Division

Charlie joined Tyco Electronics in early 2007 to lead the sales and channel development efforts for a newly acquired intelligent street lighting technology for municipal organizations and utilities.

Charlie’s brings a strong global product commercialization background in both energy and telecom markets. While at Progress Energy, Charlie led the company’s metering organization, trialing various remote monitoring and metering systems as well as BPL initiatives. Previously at Tyco Electronics, Charlie led teams to development, market, and commercialize numerous products in support of Telco DSL services.

Charlie is a noted speaker in AMR (automated meter reading) and utility data management systems and has experience in embedded sensor systems from earlier work at Lord Corporation. Charlie’s graduate work is in control theory from Duke University, and he received his MBA from Kenan-Flagler Business School.
