SPEAKER
Jonathan Boyd National Rich Media Specialist, Cisco Systems, Inc.

Mr. Boyd joined Cisco in January 2004 upon completion of Cisco’s acquisition of Latitude Communications.  He brings seven years experience in the on-line collaboration and rich media space.   Mr. Boyd is a frequent speaker on the topic of rich media and is an expert on Cisco’s flagship rich media products, MeetingPlace and MeetingPlace Express.  Under his leadership since 2005, the rich media conferencing practice within the Small and Medium Business (SMB) space at Cisco has grown from essentially nil to a multi-million dollar practice.

Prior to joining Cisco, Mr. Boyd was an Account Manager at rich media and conferencing pioneer, Latitude Communications.  Previously, he held positions at International Network Services, Tandem Computer, and Coopers & Lybrand L.L.P

Mr. Boyd resides in Hilton Head, South Carolina with his wife, Samantha, and their three young sons where Mr. Boyd serves in advisory capacity to the Communications Committee of Colleton River Plantation Club (www.colletonriverclub.com).  Covering the entire SMB market for Cisco in the United States from a small island off the coast of South Carolina, Mr. Boyd claims to be “the most productive employee at Cisco” by making effective use of Cisco’s suite of remote collaboration tools.  Commenting on how he is able to be effective in maintaining such a large territory, he says, “I am virtually present in approximately twenty separate cities across the U.S. each day.  With all due respect to United Airlines, that’s a difficult feat to reproduce.  It would be impossible to be effective if it were not for our network and collaboration tools.”
