Mr. John Holub President, MEDCOM Information Systems, Inc.

John Holub is a co-founder of MEDCOM Information systems, Inc. with a lengthy background in entrepreneurial activities. Mr. Holub’s experience is extensive in systems development with leading edge concepts and technologies. With over 35 years of experience in the healthcare market, he has developed a through understanding of the needs of healthcare and defined unique solutions that have attracted the attention of respected professionals, companies and universities desiring to participate in the projects. His additional experience in manufacturing and automated assembly line systems also serves him well.

Mr. Holub’s vision is to change the way the business of healthcare is conducted. Over the past 16 years, Mr. Holub has led MEDCOM to develop unique medical software systems with the capability of supporting caregiver decisions and diagnosis for each patient served. The key product line is a new generation electronic medical record system that offers real-time alerts for drug-drug and drug-disease interactions as well as real time guidance for treatment protocols for various diseases. With its natural language interpreter, it is the only product in the market to understand the medical concepts in text documents and provide critical information as a byproduct of using the medical record system during patient care to provide invaluable real time caregiver decision support. Mr. Holub has applied for a patent to integrate the company’s proprietary natural language interpretation technology with speech recognition to revolutionize the way doctors interact with computers.

Prior to MEDCOM, Mr. Holub was involved with several medical-related companies, all of which he founded. In 1986, as President of IsoData, Inc., a manufacturer of analytical laboratory instrumentation serving the medical research and clinical medicine markets, Mr. Holub led a new product development effort that created a series of products positioning the company as the market leader. He received a patent for the design of a sample handling system used with the IsoData diagnostic analyzers. The new design provided a fifty-fold increase in sample processing throughput. IsoData was sold in 1988 to ICN Biomedicals of Costa Mesa, California where he spent two years as Vice President of Sales for North America. This division produced approximately $75,000,000 in sales annually.
