Rusty Robertson Senior Regional Vice President, Comcast

Rusty Robertson serves as Senior Vice President for Comcast’s Indianapolis Region, serving more than 458,000 customers in parts of Indiana, Missouri, Kansas, Ohio and Illinois. Robertson has worked in the Cable Industry for 27 years and in General Management for 17 years.

An Indiana native, Robertson grew up near Russiaville, Indiana on a family farm. He attended Western High School, graduating in 1978. Rusty began his Cable Television career with Storer Cable Communications in 1980 while attending Florida International University in Miami, Florida. His first job there was in the local programming department with the duties of playing locally produced programs and manually inserting local commercials.

He was later promoted to Customer Service Manager. After finishing his degree from Florida International University in Mass Communications, Robertson relocated in Indiana. He accepted a position as Regional Marketing Manager with a small cable company, Omega Cable Television. He worked there for seven years before Jones Intercable, Inc., acquired the systems in 1988.

Jones Intercable promoted Robertson to General Manager in 1989 to run one of four systems in the Chicago area. He managed Jones Intercable’s South Suburban cluster of systems for five years. He was then promoted to General Manger of a larger Jones Intercable system in December 1995 and relocated to the Kansas City, Missouri area. In the spring of 1999, Comcast Cable Communications acquired Jones Intercable and Comcast promoted Robertson to Vice President and General Manager. He had responsibilities for systems in Missouri, Kansas and Wisconsin. He returned to Indiana in 2001 to serve as Comcast’s Area Vice President in Indianapolis. He was promoted to Regional Vice President in 2004.

Robertson is 47 years old. He and his wife Cindy have two daughters.
